How To Select A Proper Thermal Paper Rolls?

Currently, Thermal paper rolls is more and more popular applied in many areas, like fooding, goverment, hotels, tickets, lottery, medical etc,  due to it’s very easy-printing and ecnomical.

But do you know how to choose a right thermal paper rolls for your thermal printers?

With several years development, thermal paper has too many grammage for choosing now, but at the beginning, thermal paper rolls just have 55gsm which mostly used in fax recording machines, and a few POS machines, now fax rolls is less and less requirements, but POS rolls are used more and more, and thermal rolls has many kinds also based on different grammage. Like: 48gsm, 52gsm, 55gsm, 58gsm, 60gsm, 65gsm, 70gsm, 80gsm, 95gsm, 135gsm, 180gsm, 210gsm etc, it seems too many kinds and not easy to tell, but if we know its application, everything will becoming quite easy.

55gsm is ever and now popular one always, 48gsm-70gsm thermal paper’s appearing just help manufactures to save cost, as most 55gsm thermal paper used on POS machines, ATM machines etc, it is just one-time printing, so customers mostly don’t have high requirements on it, just ask common quality and best cost.

80gsm-210gsm thermal paper is special thermal paper, professionally we call it topcoated paper, mostly used for tickets or long time storage areas.
